Larsa Holds Workshop on Minorities in Iraq

As part of the Project to Enhance the Rights of Iraqi Minorities, implemented in partnership with the Alliance of Iraqi Minorities Network (AIM) and supported by Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), Larsa Organization organized its third activity focusing on the diversity of minorities in Iraq.

The session, led by trainer Ahmed Alkalmshi, highlighted the historical roots, cultural heritage, and current challenges of several minority communities such as Christians, Turkmen, Yazidis, and Mandaeans, along with other groups that were also discussed during the workshop.

The workshop fostered meaningful dialogue among activists and civil society representatives, strengthening networks and raising awareness about the importance of protecting Iraq’s pluralistic identity.

This activity continues Larsa’s commitment to promoting coexistence, equal citizenship, and the safeguarding of minority rights across Iraq.
