Larsa Hosts Panel on Climate Change and its Impact in Basra

In commemoration of World Environment Day, the Larsa Organization hosted a distinguished panel discussion titled “Climate Change and Its Impact on the Environment in Basra Governorate.” The event featured esteemed participants from the Basra Environment Directorate, Basra University, the Marine Science Center, the Human Rights Commission, and a selection of dedicated activists and civil society organizations within Basra.

The session showcased various activities and initiatives undertaken by relevant organizations and institutions, emphasizing the collective effort needed to address environmental challenges. Key recommendations were formulated to collaboratively mitigate pollution in Basra Governorate. Furthermore, participants concurred on the necessity of establishing a regular schedule for such sessions and activities to continually assess and address environmental pollution risks.
