Participation of Larsa in Caritas Iraq’s Disability and Inclusion Workshop

Larsa Organization participated in the recent Disability and Inclusion 3 days workshop held in Basra as part of the initiatives of Almahaba Brotherhood Humanitarian Organization (Caritas Iraq) in partnership with the In Action For Your Rights – JHPII Program. The program, funded by the John Paul II Foundation, aims to protect minorities and promote a culture of human rights throughout Iraq.

The initiative works to improve access to professional training, employment opportunities, and psychosocial support for youth, women, vulnerable groups, and persons with disabilities, ensuring they are better able to exercise their rights and engage actively within their communities.

The workshop offered a comprehensive agenda that explored essential themes such as the reality of disability in Iraq, conceptual frameworks of inclusion, and approaches that support greater independence and participation for persons with disabilities.

Larsa Organization acknowledges the value of the discussions and the exchange of perspectives that took place during the workshop. This participation aligns with our ongoing efforts to support initiatives that enhance human rights, social inclusion, and community well-being across Iraq.
