Climate Change and Its Impact on Human and Animal Health

Larsa Organization, in collaboration with the Public Aid Organization PAO, held a dialogue session titled
“Climate Change and Its Impact on Human and Animal Health” as part of the project aimed at improving the state of human rights and promoting democratic participation.

The session was presented by Dr. Sarah Salem, a lecturer at the College of Veterinary Medicine – University of Basra, who enriched the discussion with her scientific expertise and in-depth analysis of the effects of climate change on public health and the environment.

The event was marked by active participation and a notable diversity of attendees, including civil society activists, academics, religious leaders, and employees from both the public and private sectors. Their contributions—through opinions, experiences, and questions—added a deeply interactive and realistic dimension to the session.

The active engagement of the participants served as the true driver of the discussion and a catalyst for building awareness toward positive change in addressing environmental and health challenges.
