Strengthening Digital Verification & Media Security for Media Professionals
Larsa Organization successfully concluded a two-day specialized training workshop on digital verification, countering disinformation, and analyzing misleading news and digital content. The workshop was part of a broader series of specialized programs implemented by the organization in the field of digital media and capacity building for professionals working in media and communication sectors.
The workshop brought together journalists, media professionals, and communication officers from various governmental and media institutions, including public service directorates in Basra, local and international media platforms and agencies, as well as media representatives from medical institutions.
The training focused on strengthening participants’ skills in verifying images, videos, and documents, analyzing disinformation campaigns and misleading information, and utilizing modern digital verification tools and techniques through practical sessions delivered by specialists in information security and computer science.
At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates of participation were awarded to the participants in recognition of their active engagement, while emphasizing the importance of enhancing digital verification skills and media literacy to address misleading content in the digital space.
